CV Glen v.d. Hoff

After his studies at the faculty of Dance at the Conservatory of Arnhem, the Netherlands, Bachelors’ Degree in 1977, Glenn van der Hoff danced professionally in several State theatres in Germany, France and The Netherlands.
G. van der Hoff started as a soloist dancer and later developed himself into a dance teacher, choreographer and theatre director.
Some of his teaching experience was at the Summer Dance Academy in Cologne (Germany), The Dance Academy of Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Amsterdam Theatre School, Fontys Acacdemy of Dance (Tilburg), Artez (Arnhem, the Netherlands), Pornpimol Sophatai Dance School (Bangkok), Aree Dance Arts (Bangkok), Bangkok Dance, Varaporn Kanthana Ballet School and many others.
 
As a choreographer he made numerous choreographies for dance companies such as Djazzex Modern Jazz Dance Company, Reflex Dance Company, Ballet Antwerpen Belgium, International Dance Theatre, The Netherlands, Artez, Rotterdam Dance Academy, Budapest Dance Theatre (Hungary), North Sea Jazz Festival, Dans ateliers Rotterdam, Holland Dance festival, Goethe Institute Bangkok, Patravadi Theatre (Fringe Festival), PSDS in ‘ Snow White LIVE in Bangkok’  and others.

In 1982 he was one of the co-founders and artistic director of Djazzex Modern Jazz Dance Company in The Hague, until 1997. The company was the leading modern-jazz dance company of the Netherlands and enjoyed both national and international recognition.

Other working experience; convention manager for Oibibio, member of the Research Committee for the Dutch Professional Arts education, chairman of the Audit Committee & Arts education, coordinator and researcher of The Cultural Identification mission for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of the Dance Committee of the Council for Culture, the statuary advisory committee of the Dutch Ministry of Culture, program co-director of the Binnenhof Festival The Hague, director/choreographer of ‘ Eclips’ a multidiscipline theatre production, researcher of infra structure of Modern Dance Ukraine in assignment of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, artistic director of YUF, a Holland Dance Festival production and arts management.

Recently G. van der Hoff is the general manager of Pornpimol Sophatai Dance School and works as a guest teacher/choreographer and theatre director in The Netherlands and Thailand.
